dahl recipe

Ingredients:
  1. 200g lentils
  2. 1 red onion, chopped
  3. 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  4. 2 bay leaves
  5. 2-3 teaspoons curry powder
  6. Handful of coriander/cilantro, torn
  7. 1 small tomato, chopped
  8. ½ lime
- Wash lentils
- Boil with water until water is almost absorbed (lentils will be soft)
- Turn off heat
- In another pan, put 2 tablespoons olive oil. Fry onions, garlic, and curry leaves, and tomato
- Add curry powder
- When onions go brown, add to lentils, and put heat back on
- Stir, and leave to simmer
- When lentils appear completely "mashed" (as in picture), the dish is ready
Add lime juice, and garnish with torn coriander.
